Forage gives you cash back when you shop with your SNAP EBT card. There are two ways to earn, depending on where and how you shop.

How to earn cash back

Receiptless - automatic cash back

When you shop at certain partner stores in the Forage app, cash back is added automatically—no receipt needed.

How it works

• Link your EBT card in Forage

• Shop at a store marked Receiptless

• Pay with your linked EBT card

• Cash back is added after checkout

Why it’s instant

Forage processes the EBT payment at these stores, so we can confirm the purchase without a receipt.

Receipt Required - manual cash back

You can earn cash back at any store that accepts EBT by uploading your receipt.

How it works

• Pay with your linked EBT card

• Upload the receipt in the Forage app within 7 days

• Once verified, cash back is added to your account

What the receipt needs to show

• Store name

• Purchase date

• Items purchased

• Amount paid with EBT

Limits

You can earn up to $5 back per week and up to $15 back per month with Receipt Required. There is no weekly or monthly limit to Receiptless cash back.

Where to find your cash back

Your cash back appears in the Activity tab in the app. This is where you can track pending receipts that are still being reviewed, see approved cash back, and view your total cash back balance.

If you’re ever unsure whether something went through, Activity is the best place to check first.

How to redeem your cash back

Once your cash back balance is over $2, you can redeem it as a digital prepaid Visa card. Just tap the Redeem button directly from the Activity tab.

Cash back eligibility

Cash back is based on the amount paid with SNAP EBT. Purchases paid only with debit, credit, or OTC aren’t eligible. Uploaded receipts also need to meet receipt guidelines to be approved. Cash back granted is subject to our terms.
